Start an Alice Springs rental comparison with the route you want to drive. A few days in town, a West MacDonnell outing and a longer journey involving unsealed roads need different planning. Confirm the branch and permitted roads before choosing a vehicle category.

Town pickup or airport collection?

Hertz's Alice Springs locations distinguish the airport branch on Santa Teresa Road from Alice Springs Downtown at 71A Hartley Street. Opening windows differ. These are separate collection points, not interchangeable addresses under an Alice Springs booking.

Use the NT road-condition information alongside park reports. Check the whole journey, including any section in another state, and arrange fuel, rest and overnight stops around it. Leave flexibility before your final return instead of relying on an uninterrupted long drive to the branch.

Check the offer against your itinerary

• Confirm the named roads and surfaces allowed for the vehicle.
• Check kilometre limits and any excess-distance charge.
• Compare the deposit and payment method required from the principal driver.
• Include extra-driver, equipment and one-way charges where applicable.
• Save the delayed-arrival, extension and after-hours return instructions.

Keep a vehicle-condition record and the return address available. A one-way journey requires an offer accepting that exact pair of branches; an office shown on a supplier map does not confirm it.
